30 DAY CHALLENGE DAY 20 5-11 – What Are We Doing With Our Lives/Our Futures

Where will I be next year? Where will I be next week? Tomorrow? Tonight? It’s all a guessing game, we never truly know what the future holds. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t scary…it’s terrifying. We just go on with each day trying to get to where we want to be, but do we even know exactly what or where that is? Maybe. But, maybe not.

The future is out of our hands, and that may be exactly what freaks us out or shakes us to our core. We have no control. As human beings we crave control and certainty. But we’re craving something so unattainable that it drives us toward fear.

Today, allow yourself to release that fear because what releasing that fear really is, is releasing our need to control. As crazy as it sounds, we must take a back seat to our own lives and let it all just happen.

If you’re anything like me, you’re thinking, “We’ll if I just let things happen how will I get where I want to be, don’t I need to control some of it?” I guess the answer can go either way, yes or no, but my point is once you have that moment of release, things start to play out exactly how you want them to. And if they don’t, they’re playing out exactly how they should. Once you loosen that grip, more opportunities come your way, you adopt a clearer vision of your life, and you gravitate toward a natural place of contentment.

This concept isn’t easy to just all of a sudden apply. You can’t just snap your fingers and suddenly adapt to a way of living that you were trained to neglect all of your life. Although it’s not easy, it is absolutely worth it. A consistent effort to be a little more vulnerable and a little more confident in what the Universe has in store will sweep you off your feet as things start to fall into place. Trusting within a power greater than your own is where this guidance stems from. Take the load off of yourself, let go of the pressure you so often feel, and release.

Once you release, you begin to adapt, and once you adapt you begin to see how smoothly and effortlessly things happen. At this point you experience reassurance and the cycle continues, so you can lead a life that you’re proud of and happy with.
