30 DAY CHALLENGE DAY 11 5-2 – The Strength in Family

Those however many people under your roof are your family. The ones you call first to tell good news to, they are your family. They’re the ones you can rely on through and through. And there is so much strength in that.

Maybe for you, the people you consider family aren’t necessarily your blood. Either way, you consider them family and recognize them as your people; your tribe. I hope everyone on this Earth can pinpoint at least one human being as family. I hope each and every person has one person to go to for the good, the bad, the ugly. Life’s tough, let’s face it, but when we go through it together with the people we can count it, it gets a little bit easier and a whole lot sweeter.

Whoever you consider your family, hold them close and appreciate them always. I don’t think we take enough time to stop and truly count our blessings and appreciate how lucky we are to have people who support us, love us, cheer us on, and stand by us. The strongest thing we have in this world is each other. Without these bonds, we’re all just individual beings, chugging along in life, never really getting to enjoy the true beauty of it all. You don’t love a place, you love the people in that place. You don’t miss a moment, you miss the people who made that moment so great. Our people are our light, and we need to remember that.

As we’re all living in this crazy time, we are forced to remind ourselves of what truly matters in this life. I know my family will never do wrong by me. They will support me at my best, and pick me up at my worst. They will think of me in the back of their minds even when I don’t know it and they will love me unconditionally. They are my people and they bring so much more purpose into my life. Whoever you consider your family; hug them a little tighter, let them know how much you care a little more often, and remind yourself how lucky you are day in and day out. There’s so much strength in your family circle and I hope you use that power to be better and do better. Bring more light in everyday and know that at the end of each day…family is all we can really count on.
